New Netflix docu-series showcases the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s pioneer work on water sanitation

The three-part documentary called “Inside Bill’s Brain” is exploring the logical reasoning behind Bill’s ideas, aiming to solve global issues like climate change, poor sanitation, hunger and poverty.

One might think that when you are Bill Gates, you have it all, then again, this rationale is far from being correct. With a brain that is constantly seeking challenges in solving impossible equations, Bill is trying to find a solution to world’s biggest issues.

In the first part of the series, Bill and Melinda are presenting the matter of unsafe sanitation, a massive problem that is becoming more urgent, as global population increases and trends like water scarcity and urbanization intensify.

Poor countries are facing inadequate sanitation by disposing in an unsafe manner their waste. Harmful waste flows into the surface of waters and fields, where children play and people of all ages live, eat, drink and bathe.

The Bill Gate’s foundation is supporting initiatives that accelerate gender equality between men and woman, increasing the involvement of women in solving sanitation matters. Also, it’s investing in research with the aim of accelerating the development of affordable and effective sanitation solutions to underdeveloped countries, with a potential of saving about half a million lives per year.
